Port Tel Aviv A Luxury New Ilan Pivko Development
Port Tel Aviv, a new luxury development by Hagag brothers, located in the Port area of Tel Aviv, is a stunning contemporary residential development. Designed by renowned Israeli architect Ilan Pivko, this soon to be icon of the Port area skyline was launched in London at an invitation only event held at Alon Zakaim Fine Art Gallery, Mayfair.
The links between art and property at Port Tel Aviv are twofold. Firstly, the development’s stunning façade takes Cubist inspiration, from artists like Picasso and Georges Braque, while the innovative, movable brise soleil, part of Pivko’s striking use of light and shade, create a building that blends art and architecture. Secondly, Port Tel Aviv is set to offer a contemporary art gallery within its entrance lobby, giving residents daily access to exclusive art exhibitions. In keeping with the artistic importance of the development, the launch party coincided with a VIP showing of Mauro Perucchetti’s Nuvole, the current exhibition at Alon Zakaim Fine Art Gallery.
Ms Lee Ziv, VP of Sales and Marketing for Port Tel Aviv hosted the launch, flying in from Israel expressly for the event, and addressed invited guests briefly about the exciting life style that privileged residents and guests can expect when staying at Port Tel Aviv, the only development to be permitted so close to the shore.
The strong relationship between art and architecture at Port Tel Aviv appeals to many, with the launch drawing keen interest from art and architect lovers alike. Ilan Pivko’s many designs have gained international acclaim amongst clients, the public, and his architectural peers. Amongst his most famous buildings are Florentin Tower and Garden Tower, both in Tel Aviv, which have iconic and striking silhouettes.
The Port Tel Aviv launch saw over 80 guests in attendance, who were treated to a specially curated menu of canapes and cocktails offering a delightful taste of Tel Aviv, including a fig & honey cocktail and a canape of courgette, feta and rose harissa. Guest included Beauchamp Estates founder Gary Hersham, and fellow directors Olga Hersham, Alex Bourne and Richard Douglas. Gallery owner Alon Zakaim and Israeli luxury public relations specialist Ruth Shitrit were also in attendance.
Nuvole is Mauro Perucchetti’s first collection of paintings. The Italian artist is well known for incredible sculptures that combine Minimalism and Pop. The paintings focus on vibrant abstraction, with the title Nuvole Italian for ‘Clouds’. The gallery showcased his next work, with Perucchetti’s iconic resin ‘jelly baby’ sculptures also on display.
